RDA Hunter encourages young people aged 12-25 living in the Hunter region to apply for the 2021 Regional Youth Taskforce. The Taskforce is a NSW Government initiative that connects young people from all across the state and gives young people a voice on matters of importance in their community.

Applications are currently open for passionate, young people from regional NSW to take part in the Taskforce for 2021. Advising the Minister for Regional Youth Hon. Bronnie Taylor MLC, the Taskforce will discuss issues such as getting a job, mental health and public transport in their regions.

The 2021 Taskforce will have four meetings with the Minister to provide input on ways Government can improve outcomes for young people in regional NSW.

To apply for the Taskforce, applicants are invited to submit a short video outlining three of the most important issues impacting young people in the Hunter and a pitch about what can be done to address one of these issues.  To be eligible to apply on behalf of the Hunter, you need to reside outside of the Newcastle Local Government Area.
