ASEAN – the Association of South East Asian Nations – was established to accelerate economic growth, social growth and cultural development as well as promote active collaboration with other regions and countries.
A delegation of ASEAN parliamentarians, led by the Australian Parliament’s International Program, was in the Hunter recently and met with RDA Hunter to gain an understanding of the region, its industries and partnership opportunities.
“We were very pleased to host the ASEAN delegation. It was a great opportunity to highlight the economic development initiatives we are working on and promote the opportunities that exist in the region,” said RDA Hunter CEO, Todd Williams.
“The delegates were impressed with the Hunter, its diverse industry base and economy as well as its lifestyle advantages. We will continue to work with ASEAN to share ideas and promote the Hunter.” Mr Williams continued.
