The 2013 Hunter Manufacturing Awards (HMA) were held at Newcastle Panthers last Friday. The awards, now in their ninth year, were attended by 500 guests.
ME Program partner school Callaghan College Campus and its industry partner BAE Systems were awarded the Excellence in Manufacturing Education Award.
Judges comment: “Callaghan College’s application was impressive and the significant progress in embedding industry related education into the fabric of the school’s curriculum and pedagogy is noted. Callaghan College has forged an impressive partnership with BAE Systems which is delivering exciting opportunities for students. This award is based on business excellence guidelines, which is essentially about defining intention, planning for success and showing results and Callaghan College has achieved that goal. Well done Callaghan”
