At the invitation of Australia’s Department of Industry, RDA Hunter this week participated in the European Union (EU)-Australia Innovation Policy Dialogue which aimed to

1.  Develop tools for enhancing Australia-EU research and business collaboration; and
2.  Measure and evaluate the impact of industry-research collaboration programmes

40 representatives from Europe and Australia were invited to the Innovation Dialogue which sought input to initiatives for driving research-business collaboration between the EU and Australia; knowledge triangles; growth centres and cluster models; and the operation of cross-jurisdictional initiatives for enhancing innovation capacity.

The scope for future co-operation between industry, research and government sectors to build and innovation culture and enhance EU-Australia innovation collaboration was also discussed.

RDA Hunter’s collaboration with the EU on the growth and development of innovation systems and how research and industry work together for economic development will continue in 2015.
