CEO, Todd Williams this week contributed to the Transition and Transformation Working Conference held in Victoria’s Latrobe Valley.
Mr Williams joined national and international speakers to discuss regions in transition and strategies for economic transformation.
“I was very pleased to be asked to contribute to the Latrobe Valley conference this week. The Latrobe Valley is experiencing similar issues to what the Hunter did with the closure of steelmaking in 1999,” said Mr Williams.
“I was able to highlight the Hunter’s experience in transitioning to a knowledge and services base as well as our implementation of a Smart Specialisation Strategy which has helped the region identify its competitive strengths so that we can build on them in the future.”
