RDA Hunter MiniME Smart Cities Primary School Challenge
All Newcastle LGA based primary schools are invited to attend the RDA Hunter miniME Smart Cities Primary School Challenge to experience the miniME Program
Newcastle LGA based primary schools are welcome to attend the RDA Hunter miniME Smart Cities Primary School Challenge which is being held on November 28th at The Forum, University of Newcastle.
The event is the culmination of Phase One of the 2018/19 miniME Program which has been undertaken with the support of the City of Newcastle's Smart Moves project, and has included 18 Newcastle primary schools.
It will include a City Rover Challenge during which participating school students will use their coding skills to navigate rovers through the Newcastle specific course - competing for the title of miniME Champion.
"RDA Hunter is inviting schools from across Newcastle, even those that weren't part of Phase One, to attend and see what miniME is all about," said RDA Hunter's STEM Workforce Manager, Rick Evans.
"Expressions of Interest for Phase Two of the 2018/19 program are now open so the Challenge will be a great opportunity for schools that haven't been involved to see how much enjoyment students, and teachers, get from their participation."
There are 17 vacancies for Phase Two of the 2018/19 program. To express your interest please email Sarah Kane at firstname.lastname@example.org
