RDA Hunter and its Study Hunter partners, Hunter TAFE, University of Newcastle and Newcastle International College this week hosted a celebration for international students living and studying in the Hunter.

RDA Hunter invited Lord Mayor of Newcastle, Cr Nuatali Nelmes to welcome international students to the region at the event which was held at the Honeysuckle Hotel as part of RDA Hunter’s Study Hunter initiative.

The event was attended by Hunter TAFE’s and Newcastle International College’s students who have recently completed their studies in the region and new students arriving for the commencement of semester two.

“The Hunter is fortunate to have a large and vibrant group of international students across our three partner institutions and we want to make them feel welcome and part of the Hunter’s community,” said RDA Hunter CEO, Todd Williams.

“Our Study Hunter initiative showcases the region to a young and motivated international audience which helps boost international student enrolments in the short-term and contributes to growth and diversification of the region’s workforce and economy for the future.” continued Mr Williams
