The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup 2015 will be held from 9 – 31 January 2015
Newcastle will host four games at Hunter Stadium –
- two Group Stage matches (12 Jan & 17 Jan 2015),
- one Semi Final, Q2 v Q4 (27 Jan 2015) and
- the Play Off for 3rd and 4th spots (30 Jan 2015).
RDA Hunter is participating in the planning for the event with representation on the Trade and Investment Group, which includes creating opportunities to leverage Business and Tourism gains from hosting the Cup and the Legacy Development Group, identifying long-term football, community and educational benefits to the region from hosting the Cup.
