RDA Hunter has partnered with NSW Trade and Investment, Australian Industry Group, Hunternet, Hunter Business Chamber and AusIndustry to develop the Hunter Region Procurement Toolkit.

The Toolkit has been developed in consultation with Hunter industry and government organisations and will assist local SMEs to diversify, grow and become more resilient. The Kit provides an easy reference for Hunter companies to identify and prepare for new business opportunities.

“RDA Hunter is pleased to be a major supporter of this important collaborative initiative which will support economic growth and job creation in the region.” said Dr Hart

“Hunter industry is competitive and ready for new challenges. The Hunter Strategic Procurement Initiative helps SMEs better compete for local and global opportunities” continued Dr Hart.

The content of the Hunter Region Procurement Toolkit is part of a broader Hunter Strategic Procurement Initiative which also includes supply chain and bid writing workshops as well as a procurement masterclass.

Through presentations, discussions and surveys, key government and non-government organisations have highlighted their procurement requirements and processes in the Toolkit with the hope of developing relationships with suppliers within the region and increasing their local spend.

Dr Hart congratulated the regional office of NSW Trade and Investment and the Australian Industry Group on the timeliness and relevance of the Hunter Region Procurement Toolkit and encouraged SMEs to use the Toolkit and to provide feedback.
