Jobs for NSW is a government-backed organisation that’s led by some of the best business-minds in Australia. It’s entrepreneurial experience and connections to government mean its uniquely placed to help up-and-coming businesses unlock their potential.

It intends to accelerate and expand key export sectors, starting with tourism and international education. It will achieve this by acting as concierge, or convenor of government and business, advocating within government to reduce red tape and unlocking business opportunities to enable sustainable job growth.

30% of the Jobs for NSW Fund is allocated to regional and rural businesses operating outside the major cities of Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong, and will be invested in those start-ups and fast-growth SMEs that will have the greatest impact in regional job creation.

It will use its private sector partnerships with financial institutions and accelerators and incubators to create a dynamic community that supports start-ups and SMEs to become the job-creating companies of the future. As well as receiving financial support, clients will benefit from targeted events where they can learn from others across common industries and stages of business growth.

According to David Thodey, Chairman of Jobs for NSW, “We are open to new ideas, new ways of thinking and new ways of collaborating to help leverage NSW’s competitive advantages to create jobs in NSW, now and in the future. Jobs for NSW support can come in various forms – whether it be as an advisor, advocate, facilitator, funder or mentor, we are about supporting businesses that want to grow and create jobs in NSW”
