Regional Development Australia (RDA) Hunter this week hosted innovation specialist James O’Loghlin to deliver a keynote address at its event, Hunter Horizon.

Hunter Horizon, which was held at Newcastle Museum, highlighted RDA Hunter’s work and its impact since 2010 as well as the Hunter’s future and how innovation and internationalism will contribute to its ongoing competitiveness.

ABC Television and Radio presenter and author of Innovation is a State of Mind, James O’Loghlin, delivered a keynote address focusing on breaking out of habitual thinking, thinking like a customer and the value of thinking to achieve innovative growth in business. RDA Hunter CEO, Todd Williams continued the innovation theme by overviewing the work RDA Hunter has undertaken since 2010 to maintain the Hunter’s international competitiveness.    

“Since 2010, RDA Hunter has implemented numerous initiatives that have helped attract investment; secure economic infrastructure; and build on our innovation eco-system. These initiatives have led to change and diversification of the region’s economy,” said RDA Hunter CEO, Todd Williams.

“We’ve also worked to see the region’s strengths, achievements and ambitions for the future recognised on the world stage. I’m proud that our work has had a positive impact, delivering over $860 million for the region and making a real and long-term difference for the future.”
