The Falling Walls Lab is an innovative scientific challenge for bright young minds.

The Lab is a platform for excellent young researchers, Bachelor, Master and PhD students, postdocs, young professionals, entrepreneurs and innovators from all disciplines from Australia and New Zealand. They get the opportunity to present their ground-breaking research projects, initiatives, innovative ideas or business models to peers and a distinguished jury from academia and business. Each participant has 3 minutes on stage to present their work, answering the question “Which are the next walls to fall?”

The aim of the Falling Walls Lab is to foster scientific and entrepreneurial innovations and to promote the exchange between young scholars and professionals emerging from different fields of expertise.

The inaugural Falling Walls Lab Australia will take place on 24 August 2016, at the Shine Dome in Canberra, hosted by the Australian Academy of Science with support from The Australian National University and the Embassy of Germany in Canberra.
