RDA Hunter and its Study Hunter partners, Hunter TAFE, University of Newcastle and Newcastle International College will next week host a celebration for international students living and studying in the Hunter.

Lord Mayor of Newcastle, Cr Nuatali Nelmes, will address international students at the event which is being held at Honeysuckle Hotel as part of RDA Hunter’s Study Hunter initiative. The event will be attended by students who have recently completed their studies in the region and new students arriving for the commencement of semester two.

“The Hunter is fortunate to have a large and vibrant group of international students across our three partner institutions and we want to make them feel welcome and part of the Hunter’s community,” said RDA Hunter CEO, Todd Williams.

“The Lord Mayor of Newcastle will provide an official welcome to students at our event and students will have the chance to meet people in a relaxed environment.”

“Our Study Hunter initiative showcases the region to a young and motivated international audience which helps boost international student enrolments in the short-term and contributes to growth and diversification of the region’s workforce and economy for the future.” continued Mr Williams.
